Urgostrips - SUTURE A WOUND - Urgo

Are you looking for a solution to quickly close a superficial wound?

So choose URGOSTRIPS !

Sterile and hypoallergenic, URGOSTRIPS strips are suitable for sensitive skin.

URGOSTRIPS strips are also easy to apply.

Before use :

Check the integrity of the individual sterility protector.

Instructions for use :

Must be applied by an adult for those under 16 years of age.

  1. Clean and disinfect the wound and surrounding area with an antiseptic solution. If necessary, achieve hemostasis (stop the bleeding). Dry with a sterile compress to facilitate the adhesion of the strips.
  2. Open the sachet asterilely. If the strips need to be cut, use sterile scissors or scissors disinfected with alcohol.
  3. After thoroughly washing your hands with soap and water, apply two strips of tape parallel to the wound, on either side of the wound. (see diagram)
  4. Take care not to place your fingers on the part of the strip that will be in contact with the wound. Apply a third strip perpendicularly to one edge of the wound and, with slight traction, apply it to the opposite edge to ensure that the edges of the wound are brought together, without overlapping.
  5. Apply the following strips in the same manner until the wound is completely closed. Finish the assembly by applying 2 transverse strips to reinforce the whole.

Leave the strips in place (3 to 4 days) until they detach or no longer function. Replace the strips according to the instructions until complete healing. The wound must remain dry. Primary healing of a superficial wound takes about ten days.

Precautions :
  • The presence of hair or the use of oily products such as creams or ointments can impair adhesion.
  • Sterile, single-use strip; do not reuse or reposition a strip that has already been applied, do not store a strip in an open pouch (otherwise there is a risk of infection).
  • Do not re-sterilize. Check the integrity of the sterility protector before use. Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
  • To minimize the risk of wound infection, it is advisable to cover the entire area with an antiseptic dressing. Do not remove or change the strips each time you change the dressing.
  • Healing is facilitated if the strip is positioned without leaving any space or overlap between the edges of the wound.
  • Regularly monitor the wound and its surrounding area to detect any signs of infection such as pain, redness, swelling, odor, or suppuration.

If in doubt or if you suspect an infection, contact your doctor or nursing service.

  • Do not use after the expiry date (indicated on the sachet and on the box).
  • Keep the test strip sachets in their original box.
Contraindications:
  • Contraindicated for premature infants and infants weighing less than 3.5 kg
  • Do not use on infected wounds, exuding wounds, or bleeding wounds.
  • Do not apply to the eyes or eyelids.
  • Do not apply to joints (risk of high tension and tearing of the strips).
  • Do not use Urgostrips for more than 30 consecutive days.

Format :
10cm x 0.6cm
