Plasters for corns and calluses - Urgo
Thanks to their hydrocolloid mass , URGO Corn & Corn Treatment plasters relieve pain from the first application, eliminate pressure points, and protect against shoe friction. Furthermore, the emollient and moisturizing action of glycerin gently softens and removes corns. Ultra-thin and transparent, they ensure complete discretion when treating emerging calluses.
Instructions for use:
- Ensure that the skin of the corn/partridge eye shows no lesions, wounds, or redness.
- Soak the foot for 10 minutes in warm water .
- Clean and disinfect the corn/soft corn and the surrounding area with an antiseptic solution (alcohol-free). Rinse and then dry with a sterile compress or allow to air dry.
- Warm the bandage between your hands
- Remove the first protective wing without touching the central adhesive part of the dressing.
- Apply the hydrocolloid dressing centered on the corn/soft corn. The corn/soft corn must be completely covered by the dressing.
- Remove the second layer of protection by smoothing and pressing the edges of the dressing to increase adhesion.
Change the dressing according to the instructions, on average once a day , or when it starts to wrinkle. The dressing should not remain in place for more than 2 to 3 days , after which it should be removed if it has not come off on its own.
- Once the dressing has been removed, remove/scrape away the excess softened skin on the surface of the corn/corn and apply a new dressing if necessary, according to the instructions.
Instructions/precautions:
- Non-sterile hydrocolloid dressing indicated for the treatment of corns
- Single use only. Do not cut. Do not reposition a dressing once applied (risk of poor hygiene and failure to adhere).
- Do not apply to a wound, mucous membrane, irritated or damaged skin (risk of infection)
- Do not apply a bandage or remove a bandage already applied and consult a doctor or podiatrist :
– in case of worsening of the corn/soft corn or lack of improvement within 6 days of treatment,
– in case of signs of infection (redness, pain, heat, swelling around the wound, pus, etc.)
– in case of doubt or discomfort. - Diabetic patients are advised to use hydrocolloid dressings only under medical supervision.
- If sticky hydrocolloid residue remains on the skin, soaking in water is recommended.
- Change the dressing once a day on average. Do not use for more than 30 consecutive days.
